Mucciolo

The Cilento territory, historically disputed by many peoples, is considered by many to be the garden of Italy, rich in animal and plant species. Cilento is an ancient land, made of colors and flavours, characterized by traditions, folk songs but above all good food.

It is right here, in Cilento that the famous Mediterranean diet was discovered, by studying the diet of the Cilento people, the American scientist Ancel Keys, who lived in Cilento for a long time, after various investigations around the Mediterranean decided to continue his studies in Pioppi, a small village in the municipality of Pollica, where the scholar lived for 100 years thanks to the food and the Cilento air.

It is precisely in this park, far from polluting sources, rich in vegetation, that the bees carefully and industriously collect the nectar that Apicoltura Mucciolo uses for its products every day.
